More Gorgeous Tree Peonies

Mom's tree peonies are blooming their hearts out right now and are so gorgeous. Their blooms show up all across the flower garden and beckon one in from the road to enjoy their beauty.

We had perfect weather for this past weekend, sunny and cool. Mom worked on her rose and iris beds on Saturday and I actually got the little pond cleaned out and ready for water on Sunday. Alan grilled supper, we moved stuff from Jennifer's house to our house and the weekend was over way to quickly.

Peonies, Iris, Etc

Our fireplace garden next to the house is coming to life with iris' and tree peonies. Such a cheerful sight when pulling in the driveway.

Blooms, Blooms & More Blooms

The last week and a half of 80 degree temps have made the garden spring to life with so much beauty. Now to start mowing and weeding. The garden always looks so good fresh from mowing and then rain.

I hope you have enjoyed some of our flowering bushes and trees. There was nothing more enjoyable than walking through the garden taking pictures and smelling the lilacs during allergy season. Our allergy counts have been in the 300s the last few days. Sneeze, picture, sneeze, picture, etc.

New for the Garden

Went shopping last Monday evening at Home Depot and found this beautiful birdbath. It has hummingbirds and flowers all over it.

They thought they wanted $42.99 but Mom had no intention of paying that much for it. She talked to 4 different people, pointed out the chips in the concrete and that it was left over from last year and finally got it for $25.00. We loaded it up and headed home very happy.

I found some hens and chicks while there

they almost died out this past year
