But first lets enjoy the mums starting to bloom. Caught these at Walmart as they were unloading for 98 cents each. Beautiful lavender mums by our garden gate.

After the rain Labor Day weekend it was a joy to work in the garden this past weekend. The temps were in the 70s and the weeds came right on out. It didn't seem to matter how far down we dug the ground was still moist. I really need to win the lottery so I can stay home and work in the garden every day. Those pesky weeds wouldn't stand a chance then. haha
Sandy, WOW you made a lot of progress! Love the ideas for the telephone pole, too. Rain makes such a difference, doesn't it? Looking back on all the hard work just makes a person feel good at the end of the day.
ReplyDeleteLooks really good, Sandy. Unfortunately I have found that rain makes the weeds grow, too! Have fun in the garden this weekend.
ReplyDeleteI have been weeding like crazy too Sandy, but wow, there is always so much to do in the fall. I haven't cut back my beebalm yet and it is looking so straggly, making the whole garden look ratty. I will be weeding again today because the weather is perfect for hard work.
ReplyDeleteI always love to come and see what you have been up to. Now off to weed myself.
sending hugs...
Dang those weeds.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea of the mail box for the fish food!
