The camellias and tree peonies are in full bloom and gorgeous. It is a good thing Mom had staked the tree peonies last week as we have 4 1/2 inches of rain from Friday afternoon until Sunday morning. Everything is a soggy mess right now.

tulips & new skinny pot for hosta
The past 2 weekends we have been weeding and mulching like crazy. My nephew is getting married in June and we are hoping to hold their wedding shower in the garden this coming weekend although it is not looking likely since the forecast now shows rain Saturday and Sunday. We shall see. Even if we don't we have sure gotten a lot done and can enjoy it all summer instead of sweating to death trying to mulch. haha

Wheelbarrow A Big Hit
Bella & her new wheelbarrow
and rain boots
bricks & stepping stones for new pots
garden dirt, top soil, humus & cow manure
moved buttercups blooming
hellebores still blooming
What a nice cloudy/rainy not quite cold weekend we just had. I made 2 trips to Lowes on Saturday morning to get garden dirt that was on sale and went ahead and stocked up on top soil, humus and cow manure. Hopefully this weekend is going to be as nice and warm as they think and I will be ready to start filling all our new pots. I also got stepping stones and bricks to put 3 of the larger pots on.
Mom & I got Bella a mini wheelbarrow and rain boots for Easter and she was tickled pink. Now she can stomp in the mud puddles, help me move rocks and dig/move dirt. She is ready to go!
We still have buttercups blooming and the older hellebores are still in full bloom and gorgeous.
Hopefully spring is really on it's way this time!

Spring is Starting to Bud
The magnolias are starting to bud and bloom, hopefully we will be able to enjoy them without a killing frost.

It is so nice to have longer daylight hours again especially with so much that needs to be done in the garden. Now if only the weather would cooperate and it would get warm enough to enjoy working outside. Hopefully the rain will hold off until Saturday night so we can move the rest of the rocks to our rock pile. We plan on using them for edging in the flower garden.
