Rose Lily Oriental Lily

Last week Mom, I and our friend Lynn went to the UT Summer Celebration in Jackson, TN. After having a blast there we visited 2 nurseries in the area. The rose lily which is an oriental lily I found at Morris Nurseries.  It was blooming the pink bloom when I bought it and the white one opened up this week and is turning a lighter pink.  It is gorgeous!!!!!  What a steal at $5!

The garden has been gorgeous this year.  The temperatures have been hotter than normal for spring going into summer and the flowers have been blooming better than ever!

Weekend Project

I had seen something similar on Pinterest a couple of years ago so I started buying glass floats whenever I caught them on clearance.  I finally thought I would have enough and got started.  The first attempt was great until I turned it right side up and all the floats moved since they were not as tightly packed as I thought. Second attempt was better since I used wire to keep them in place and then wire across the bottom to keep them all in place. Put a flower pot in the bottom chained it to the tree and bench and I was done!!!

Bella's Fairy Garden Updated

Our weekend project was to get Bella's fairy garden cleaned out and updated.  Now it's ready for her to add her decorations too and she was one happy camper at the end of the day!!

A few years ago Jennifer gave me this bench for Mother's Day I wanted for Bella.  It was looking kind of ratty so Bella thought it needed a pink and purple makeover!   We thought it turned out great as the pink is a glitter pink and that made her day!!!

Bella is graduating from preschool.  How in the world is this possible?  It is so hard to believe that time has flown so fast and she starts Kindergarten this fall!!!!!
