Flowering Today

I took pictures of what we have flowering in the garden at the moment.  Since we have a freeze warning out for tonight and it is supposed to get down to 28 we probably won't have any flowering tomorrow!

Solar Lights Hanging in the Garden

First off the peony support rings - we needed a lot of them and couldn't believe how much it was going to cost.  Mom made 21 yesterday and is making more today from flexible wire from Lowe's and the straight wire from Dooley.

The solar lights I starting making in Feb and finished enough to hang in the garden.  They look so good hanging on the iron tree I picked up at the Nashville Lawn & Garden Show in February.

All the globes came from Goodwill and the wire was stuff we had left over from years ago.  The solar lights I caught on clearance at Marshalls and Walmart.  This has got to be the cheapest project I've ever done!

We started out today with snow showers and cold temps and headed to colder temps in the morning, 22 it is supposed to be.

Then back to the 60s and 70s by the weekend.  I thought I would take a pic of the star magnolia because it most likely will be all dead blooms in the morning and the tulip magnolia probably won't bloom at all now.

I seen a picture of solar lights on pinterest that a lady had made for her garden and that was my project this past weekend using old ceiling fan/light globes I picked up for next to nothing at Goodwill and solar lights from Marshall's clearance counter.  I now have a set of 12 for our garden.  I love it when a project costs so little and turns out so good!

Bella's new butterfly chair for her playhouse in our garden. We found it at HomeGoods Saturday and we both fell in love with it.  It is a perfect fit for her and the garden.

While the garden has been sleeping I have been working on a variety of projects which are still not finished.  I did manage to get Bella's backpack done with a day to spare. Made her day!
