Bella's 2013 Quilt Finished

I finished the embroidery with 1 week to spare on Bella's sunbonnet girls quilt this year.  Mom worked on finishing it Thursday and Friday and then sewed the backing on Saturday with Bella's help.  Bella could not get her chair scooted around the table fast enough when Mom sat down at the sewing machine!  Mom handed her the pins to put up as she took them out of the quilt -- Bella told us all what a good helper she is!!!!

Bella's 2012 Quilt Finished

I took a panel and embellished with embroidery for Bella's quilt last year.  I finished it just before Christmas and then put it up since Mom didn't have time to sew on the sides and backing and we promptly forgot all about it - out of sight out of mind!  I thought of it when I started her quilt for this year and finally found where I had it stashed so Mom got it sewn up.  Bella loves it!

Icy Weekend

We were so very lucky this past weekend.  We got some ice on Friday night and none on the roads and more ice Saturday night and the roads were melted and fine by 7am.

We had lots of ice in the flower garden and yard but not a lot of breakage thank goodness.
