Spring Is Here

What a gorgeous weekend we had, lots of sun and in the high 70s. It can't get much better than this.

Mom's camellia

blooming it's heart out
both blooms are on the same bush

Mom's work - she finished cleaning out the flower
beds Saturday around the house

black gold - we ended up with a tub full
after emptying both tumblers

I got 1 bed mulched Sunday afternoon

and finished cleaning the little pond
got it refilled Sunday afternoon also

Now to just get all the flower beds around the house mulched since Mom has the leaves cleaned out and then onto the flower garden. We have also seen lots of evidence that the deer are enjoying our tender hostas just emerging. I see much more Advil in our future.

  2. Happy Spring! I love your little pond. This is always a busy time of year with so much to do in the garden.

  4. You got some very nice compost from your tumbler. My tumbler varies in how well it does. I toss a lot of stuff in a pile still and don't focus on the tumbler enough. It is the main place I put weeds though. Happy spring.
